Jodi Traas, MS, CSRM, WSRM, CPSI, has been recognized by the Wisconsin School Safety Coordinators Association (WSSCA) with their 2026 Lifetime Achievement Award for her exceptional career serving Wisconsin’s school districts.
Jodi serves as Assistant Vice President of Education & Risk Services for Charles Taylor, which administers Community Insurance Corporation, as well as a Wisconsin Educators Risk Management Cooperative (WERMC) Dedicated Consultant.
For more than 25 years, Jodi has been an advisor in school safety and risk management, helping districts navigate complex challenges, strengthen policies, and protect students, staff, and communities.
Within WSSCA, Jodi has served in numerous leadership roles, including board member, vice president, president, past president, and advisor, helping to guide the organization’s direction and growth.
She was imperative in developing the School Safety Coordinator Certification Program, securing Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI) endorsement, and serving as a longtime instructor. As a WSSCA Safety and Security Assessor, she also supports school safety evaluations and mentored new assessors, strengthening the field statewide.
